Tea is made from a combination of brown & black leaves with a fair amount of silver tips having dry scent with notes of herbs and spices.

Temi Tea Garden is the only Tea Estate in the state of Sikkim spread on a slope below Tendong along the highway to West Sikkim and is owned by Government of Sikkim. Temi Tea Garden was established in 1969 and has an area of approximately 435 acres.The original tea saplings were brought from Darjeeling, and the teas produced are very similar to Darjeeling in character.
