Independence Day

Did You Set Yourself Free This Independence Day?

It’s an inarguable fact that almost every Indian is aware of the proud history of how our country became independent on 15th August 1947. Undeniably the journey that Indians had to undergo to get their freedom was a very difficult one. Since our first Independence Day, until now, our country has changed a great deal. Not only in political sense but also the kind of lifestyle that people follow. Since the time of independence, just as our government our education system kept changing, so did our thoughts, our beliefs, and outlook about things in life. However, the important point here is not the change that our country went through. What we want to focus on is how many minds actually became independent along with all these changes.

Before we go any further with this thought, we would like you to question yourself how independent do you feel or to be clear, what being independent exactly means to you. Also, don’t forget to grab your cup of tea while you think of this answer, to help you open up your mind and make your answer a creative one.

We’re sure that each one of you might have a different answer for what independence truly is. For some, it might simply mean to be able to do whatever they wish to, for some others to be self-dependent and for some few it must be the achievement of their goals and dreams in life. However, if we get into the little details of how we perform our daily actions. The meaning of being independent won’t sound that easy. Let’s be true, we tend to hold ourselves back from doing the things we love because of this unavoidable fear of being judged or misunderstood, not just by strangers, but also our loved ones.

In simple words, most of us don’t dare to think out of the box and for those who do, we throw them in the negative light. We don’t follow our own dreams because of the fear of contrary outcomes. A fat woman holding herself back from wearing what she likes, a creative man fearing to follow his passion, or the simple fear of loving someone who belongs to a different religion. These are just small examples of the very common problems that we have been facing since our time of Independence. The list however, is endless. Above all this, letting this happen right in front of your eyes, and not taking a stand for it is the biggest loss that our country has been facing.

However, just like every other problem in life, this one too, comes with a set of solutions. All you have to do is make a good cup of tea and let its effect take over your senses and help you rethink life. We’re sure that this problem too, can be solved with it.

Let’s see how it happens

When talking about tea, the one thing that we have mentioned several times before is that tea tends to fit in every situation and goes with every type of personality. However, the role of tea here is not to change you mentally or physically by keeping you fresh or as a matter of fact, help you lose weight. The secret ingredient that tea brings in here is the feeling of love and oneness to set ourselves free from each other and respect each other for what we are, love them from their roots to their buds.

This Independence day, we wish for you to celebrate your independence differently with tea

We all know that building new conversations has always been the specialty of tea. So this year, make it a point to sit with your loved ones, and understand their meaning of independence while you explain yours. So while you listen to them, make it a point to motivate them for who they are and not how you or the world wishes to see them.

This does not end here; the true feeling of being independent begins right from our minds. So on days when you sip your tea alone, looking at the rain or reading your favourite book, don’t forget to tell yourself that you are independent enough to do what you love and love what you do. This is the kind of Independence that every Indian citizen must strive to gain.

Wrapping it up, we don’t wish to change the meaning or reason to celebrate Independence Day. All we aim for is for you to understand that the struggle that our leaders underwent seven decades ago must not go to waste. Wake up, grab a cup, make up your mind and do everything that it takes to satisfy your version of being independent.

So just take a sip and get going.
