Green tea, perhaps, is one of the most loved health beverages in the whole world! Enjoyed by people of all ages, it is mostly consumed by fitness enthusiasts. Known for its weight loss property, the green brew has many other health benefits. People suffering from high blood sugar can easily consume green tea for diabetes. Over the years, it has been noted that the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of this tea has helped in controlling many health ailments including diabetes.

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp of green tea
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1 tsp of ginger juice
  • Few drops of lemon juice

Instructions

  1. For this particular tea, you will need to boil water in a saucepan.
  2. Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add a tsp of green tea to it.
  3. Once that is done, let the mixture brew and allow the tea to steep in the water.
  4. With that done, strain the mixture and add half a teaspoon of freshly extracted ginger juice.
  5. Serve hot and add a few lemon drops before drinking.

Diabetes is one of the most common diseases in the world, which is spreading like an epidemic. Not only adults, but children are also affected by it. Green tea is one such beverage, which can help in fighting type 2 diabetes in more ways than one. If you include this brew in your everyday diet, you will notice that your blood sugar will normalize. You will also feel energetic enough to go on long walks or exercise harder at the gym. Essentially a 0 calorie beverage, the green brew is also known for hydrating the body. It is an excellent beverage to add to a diabetes diet because it helps in improving metabolism, which is affected by the rise in blood sugar levels.

Apart from being beneficial for diabetics this tea, also helps in lowering cholesterol and aids with weight loss. It also helps in fighting infections and improves the body’s overall immunity. Type two diabetes is caused by a spike in sugar levels within the bloodstreams. The cells cannpt efficiently absorb the sugar, which is the main source of energy. The body develops an insulin resistance, which leads to hyperglycemia. Kidney failure, loss of eyesight, nerve damage, falling of teeth and organ damage are some of the prime effects of diabetes.

Since diabetes, is also caused by obesity, the green brew helps in losing extra weight. Instead of having sugar-laden beverages like sodas and sports drinks, diabetics should stick to unsweetened green tea. It helps the system to react to the already present insulin within the body, as it acts as a stimulant. This helps diabetics to maintain their blood sugar levels.
