Rose and Earl Grey Tea Latte Recipe

Just imagine yourself waking up early in the morning and finding yourself in the middle of a garden full of freshly grown flowers and fruits. Isn’t that beautiful? The fragrance around you is silently consuming your body and mind and making you feel juvenile than ever. WHOA! This, however, happens to only a few lucky ones who keep themselves surrounded by the beauty of nature. For the rest of us, we are bound to follow a lifestyle which keeps us far away from these beautiful aspects of nature. The bliss of early mornings are usually forgotten by us in the rush and worry of work. Nevertheless, there is one good thing that still takes us back to those dream lands. It’s a lovely cup of tea combined with something that fills you with the freshness of newly grown flowers and the alluring fragrance of citrus fruits. A blend of rose petals and earl grey leaves containing bergamot orange, a fragrant citrus fruit. Here’s the recipe to this cup of amazing combination.

Ingredients

  • Rose Syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1/2 cup Edible rose petals Dried
  • 1 cup Boiling water
  • 2 Tbsp Table spoon Earl Grey loose leaf tea
  • 1 Tbsp Table spoon edible rose petals Dried
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 4 Tbsp Table spoon rose syrup
  • Rosewater optional
  • Edible rose petals and rose dust garnish

Instructions

  1. Add sugar, water and rose petals into a small saucepan over medium heat and cook until sugar dissolves completely.

  2. With the help of a fine mesh strainer, extract the remaining syrup from the rose petals.

  3. Combine Earl Grey tea with the rose petals, and steep in boiling water for 5 minutes.

  4. Mix rose syrup with milk until you get a good layer of froth.

  5. Just before serving, discard the hot water, and mist the mug with a few sprays of rose water.

  6. Fill your mug halfway with tea and then add the steamed milk.

  7. Beautifully garnish the cup with a few dried rose petals and a light dusting of rose powder.
