Green tea: Rich in antioxidants the green tea is known for its health benefiting properties. It is easy to make and tastes nice. The green brew happens to be un-oxidized so it is able to preserve huge amounts of antioxidants. Epigallocatechins or ECGC is present within it, that too in large quantities. This brew fight cancer-causing free radicals within the body as it is able to reduce oxidative stress, which is one of the primary causes of cellular damage. The green brew is also well known for its weight reducing properties.

Black tea: black tea benefits include that it prevents the advent of neurological disorders like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and dementia. It is known for strengthening the nervous system and recharges the body and the mind with newfound energy, all thanks to its caffeine content. Black tea, which is used to make chai is also known for maintaining oral health. It is excellent to improve heart health and normalize cholesterol levels.

White tea: The white brew is uncured and unfermented. There are a few studies which emphasize on the potent anticancer properties possessed by the white tea. It does not undergo a lot of processing and therefore maintains the sanctity of its properties. It is grown in very small quantities which is why it is slightly accessible and is priced higher than the other teas.

Oolong tea: The oolong or the Wulong tea is known for its weight loss properties. It is sold in China and Taiwan as the slimming tea. It is raved about because of its capability of narrowing down the waistline in women. The antioxidants present in this brew help in fighting a number of diseases and boost the immunity system. Apart from that, it lowers cholesterol levels and maintains the health of the cardiac muscles.
